Today is Nala’s 2nd birthday. I want to make it a special
day for her. Last year we didn’t do anything. I asked boyfriend, “Can we get
Nala a doggie cake” bf “No, what for? She’s just a dog” This year I don’t even
want to ask him since I already know the answer. For my own sake, I want to do
this for her and I. Special day for my baby doggie.
Nala has been in my life for almost 2 years now. (July 19, 2010) And
she brings in lots of joy, and smiles in our face. Times when I am just tired,
sick or unhappy, Nala has always been there to cuddle with me, play with me, or
just sitting there to keep me company. I have so many stories about this little
munchkin, I treat her like my own child because I love her and she has been there
for me. Let me share a few with you all.
Just a few days ago I was getting ready for bed and had the bedroom
lights off. Nala wanted to go to bed with us in our bed. However, I knew I had
to get up for work next day and I cannot be disturb otherwise I will not sleep.
Boyfriend was outside playing games and I had the door close and light off. I
told Nala to go into her bed, (crate with a bed inside) I was searching for my
iPad and my phone and thought to myself did Nala just jump on the bed or was
that just me moving. (She’s light weight so sometime it’s not even her.) I turn
to my left and saw two big huge eyes looking at me and I got startle and scream
so loud that I made her jump back as well. I started to laugh so hard and turn
on the light to go outside. Boyfriend asked me what happened. I told him the story
and Nala was sitting there looking at us all innocent and probably wonder what
is wrong with that nutty lady screaming for. I had a good laugh I couldn’t
sleep well because I kept chucking at myself and playing that thought over and
over in my head. I try stopping it but it was just too comical.
Nala also loves to play every time she sees me lying down on the sofa
watching my TV or movies. She will bring all her toys from her toy box and lay
it all down in front of my so I can grab it. She will take one and throws it to
me; if I ignore it for a while she will go get the next one like she’s asking
me how about this one? You want to play with this one? LOL It’s so funny
because If I ignore long enough there’s all 11 of her toys sitting by my feet
or on the floor really close to me. Boyfriend also sees it quite funny. Her favorite
play time is running outside, smelling the grass when we go out for a walk, go
out for a walk, play fetch, tug-a-war, and her BALL! Boyfriend’s mom comes over
and Nala will grab a ball and bark/talk to her with the ball in her mouth. It’s
so cute! She have a certain personality that my boyfriend always say she’s so
different to any dogs he ever own. Because she a special cute one! She doesn’t
like other dogs, she actually really afraid of them and she doesn’t like kids.
The little people pull on her hair. She loves all the other people though; she
will bark for their attention and roll over on their feet. If you’re new she
will pee on you out of excitement. I don’t think she will ever grow out of
that. J
